Jawai is a year-round destination but each season offers a different experience. Here's our month-by-month breakdown to help you plan the perfect trip.
October – February (Peak Season)
This is the best time to visit Jawai. Temperatures range from 10°C to 25°C, making safaris extremely comfortable. Leopard sightings are at their highest as vegetation thins out. Book well in advance as resorts fill up quickly.
March – May (Summer Season)
Temperatures rise to 35–42°C but sightings remain good as animals congregate near water sources. Early morning safaris are essential. Rates are lower and crowds are minimal.
June – September (Monsoon Season)
Jawai transforms into a lush green landscape. The granite hills reflect dramatically in the flooded dam. While road conditions can be challenging, this is the most dramatic and photogenic time to visit.
